Thanksgiving 2011

Thanksgiving 2011. Good times with the family. Stayed at the Hilton in Tyler.

Great dinner at mom and dad’s new house. At behest of mom, we all danced and I was able to finally pay my long-overdue debt of dancing with her at my wedding. My son also fired his first pellet pistol at a makeshift target. Played Marshmallow Golf (dad and I won first place, woot! (though the numbers were probably fixed)) and helped with the potato gun. For those interested, here are the Rules of Marshmallow Golf. I seem to have received the marshmallow launcher first, but I’ll take it back to dad during Spring Break (son’s first long distance motorcycle ride with his granddad) so he can have it for the 2nd half of the year. However, the marshmallows, I fear, will not survive long enough for the return trip. We tossed some football, and moved a log or two. Dad even brought out his rider tractor/mower, though we had finished moving the logs by the time he got it back to the action. Glad that he has enough room now to warrant such a cool toy.

Rift

Rift is a fun new game.  I’ve only completed maybe 10 missions, but it is getting fun to run around.  Pretty cool spells as a warrior…  Rift is kinda like Everquest, but is better at gameplay.  Maybe about same gameplay as World of Warcraft… We shall see…
